KD Casey (they/she) is a writer and baseball enthusiast living in the Washington, DC, area. She primarily writes romance books focused on Jewish characters and characters with disabilities. Her books have been featured in the New York Times, Iowa Public Radio, Book Riot, Hey Alma, Kveller, and LGBTQ Reads, among other publications. Her second novel, FIRE SEASON, was named a New York Times Best Romance Book of 2022. 

In other genres, her horror short story, “The Last Plague” was longlisted for Best Horror of the Year #14. She has also written for a variety of baseball analysis websites including FanGraphs and Baseball Prospectus. She believes in high socks, unbuttoned jerseys, and the designated hugger, not the designated hitter.
